Stitching a rainbow

I’ve just come home from our last get together for the year of our Modern Quilt Group.

We always do a group quilt each year to either donate or raffle for a charity which benefits women in need.  This year we are doing a rainbow sampler quilt of blocks from Tula Pink’s City Sampler: 100 Modern Quilt Blocks book. We each choose a colour and started stitching.

We’ve completed all our blocks, ahead of schedule for a change.  Maybe the fact that Christmas is fast approaching gave us a greater focus on the deadline! Our member who made the violet blocks couldn’t attend today, but we laid out the others on a design wall in a our meeting space.

Looking good so far!
